For your consideration is a pair of wired rustic iron sconces with wide wax candle covers and paper shades in very good preowned vintage condition. (Light bulbs are not included.) These are great! I bought them to install over my fireplace but they were too wide for my space and it would have required too much retrofitting to install them, so sadly, they must go. These iron sconces appear to have some considerable age on them, but I don’t know how old they are. The wiring appears to be in good condition and it works, as shown in photos #9 and #10. That said, I cannot guarantee the safety of the wiring. One of the wax covered candle sockets is loose. The iron has a wonderful patina that includes rust, chipped paint, distress marks in the iron and other blemishes, but these imperfections only add more rustic appeal to the sconces. The wax candle covers appear to have melted a bit at the tops near the sockets as you can see in the photos. One of the wax candle covers is distorted at the top – see photo #15. I don’t know if this has happened over time from the heat of the bulbs, or if this is the way they were designed. The paper shades are in very good condition, but they do have a few tiny imperfections that likely will not be noticed when the sconces are installed. I’m not sure if the paper shades are a fire hazard. I have paper shades on some sconces that aren’t left on for very long; I’ve never had an issue with them. The sconces are approximately 17 1/8 inches high and 16 1/8 inches wide. The center bar is about 1 7/8 inches wide. The four candles are about 12 1/2 inches high; the candle cups are 4 inches wide. The sconces weigh nearly 7 lbs each. I generally ship the same or next day, but I’m asking for some extra time to ship larger items. However, these sconces will likely be shipped very quickly. The shades will be shipped in a separate box. Thanks for looking!
