The FT-7900R is ideal for the active Ham who has a need for simplex, repeater, or FM satellite operation on both bands, but without the complication of cross-band repeat capability, which is available on our FT-8800R and FT-8900R models.Features:- 50W/45W high power, stable performance. With Japanese RD70HVF1 power amplifier, it provides 50W output on 144 MHz, and 40 Watts on 430 MHz- Long communication distance. City 1-15KM, mountainous area 10-20KM, plain 15-30KM (data is for reference only, actual distance may vary due to different environments)- Large LCD display. The large backlit LCD on the FT-7900R ensure excellent visibility- Temperature controlled fan, automatic protection. The main body shell has a DC heat sink and is equipped with a temperature-controlled cooling fan. When the temperature rises to the factory preset value, it will automatically reduce the transmission power, control the circuit temperature within a safe range, and prevent the radio from overheating- Automatic shutdown, energy saving and power saving.
