Gorgeous porcelain tea set of deep cobalt porcelain with rich gilding floral patterns. Set includes big plate and tea trio (cup, saucer and plate). Plate has mark BAVARIA with crone – presumably, it belongs to Bavarian porcelain factory Bavaria of Franz Neukirchner, period ca. 1925-1945. Tea trio has marks of Lichte, Thuringian porcelain manufacturer. It was founded in 1822 by Johannes Heirich Leder. Participation on World Fairs in Paris 1900 and Saint Louis 1904 made manufactory popular. Since 1900s Lichte concentrated its production on porcelain figurine. Soon it was sold to Friedrich family, who had Lichte in possession until 1948, when company was nationalized. In 1991 Friedrich family got an onwership back, but wasn’t able to modernize and continue porcelain production. In 2012 Lichte porcelain manufacture was closed. There is a big collection of Lichte porcelain in Otto Ludwigs Museum in Eisfeld. The condition of all items is excellent, with some traces of age and usage, small loses of gilding, age stains on gilding.
