Digitech SGS 2112 to 2120 VGS upgrade Firmware Upgrade Version 2.30 (Artist upgrade chip) incl. Replacement Battery and Pulling Tool! Please don’t forget to visit the Nocrotec Shop for other versions of this upgrade! Be careful! The last official upgrade from Digitech was version 2.10. You will find sellers here at Ebay who tell the 2.11 was the last official upgrade. This is wrong. Definitely 2.10 was the last official. After 2.10 followed bug-fix upgrades up to 2.30 which have not been written down in the revision history. So 2.30 is the best, latest and last you can get. You are bidding on the Digitech firmware upgrade “2.30” for the SGS 2112 and 2120 VGS (Artist) Guitar effects processor. These upgrade chips are new and tested. This auction also includes the internal battery for the SGS 2112 and 2120 VGS (Artist) which should be replaced every 7 years and an EPROM pulling tool which helps to pull the old EPROM out of the socket. First: Check your software-version!!! Switch on the unit while watching the display. The firmware version in shown there while boot up. E.g. the display shows “1.03” – that means firmware version 1.03. If you have a lower version than 2.30 you can use this upgrade. This upgrade works for ALL SGS 2112 and 2120 VGS (Artist)! What you will get in this auction: The complete firmware upgrade chip to 2.30 with detailed installation manual in German and English! This upgrade will make a 2120 Artist out of any 2112! A new replacement battery CR2032 (The battery is not necessary for the upgrade, but you should take the opportunity to replace the battery when you have your unit open) If you have any questions to the upgrade just write me a message! an EPROM pulling tool which helps to pull the old EPROM out of the socket. A: The Digitech 2120 and 2112 have identical circuitry. Hardware is electronically and mechanically the same. The 2120 shipped later and, therefore, had later firmware versions.
