I need to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. THIS IS MY LAST ONE! I have always loved the sleek look of Formula 1 racers and felt that they make the best models because you don’t have to ‘ugly them up’ to make them look right. I was never very good at making things look worn and dirty. Tamiya has had some of the finest and most accurate Formula 1 kits in a variety of scales. Their 1/12 Big Scale kits are fantastic but can be expensive in terms of cost and shelf space. They did a couple of 1/18 scale projects but had a larger selection of 1/20 scale kits like this one. Tamiya is known for their superior engineering and attention to detail and this modern kit has a very detailed engine, along with drivetrain, body assemblies and decals. It is just a shame that Tamiya is not allowed to include the Marlboro logos like in the good ol’ days. There are over a dozen listings for this kit on eBay (mostly from distant overseas sellers), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this item in stock and can reliably ship this kit to you very quickly. Here is some of the information that I have found online about this amazing kit: The Tamiya website no longer shows this product, so I assume it has been Discontinued or is Out of Production. From other sources, I have found the following information about the Ferrari F1-2000 and the kit: Achieving the long sought after double victory of the Drivers’ Championship and Constructors’ Championship at the 2000 F1 World Championships, Ferrari capped off the season in a blaze of crimson glory. Their state-of-the-art machine is now available as a precise assembly model kit from Tamiya. The exterior of the Ferrari F1-2000 features exquisitely recreated curvatures, tried and tested in Ferrari’s own wind tunnel. Tamiya’s 1/20 scale recreation features the same intrepid shape, which encases the intricately designed 3-liter, V10 engine. Tamiya invites you to commemorate Ferrari’s brilliant 2000 season with this masterful 1/20 scale rendition. · 1/20 Grand Prix Collection No. 48· Highly detailed static display model· Removable rear cowl· Authentically reproduced V10 engine, radiator and suspension· Grooved rubber racing tires with pre-printed lettering · France GP version Scalemates.com shows this is a 2001 new tooling that has been released a handful of times, including twice as part of the Masterworks Collection of professionally finished models. He shows the duplicate clear parts that are not included in this kit, but the rest of the kit is the same. You also get to see the nifty rubber tires with the white sidewall lettering and the black sprues. Finally, we see the standard clear parts, poly caps, decals and metal stickers. This kit is in a gorgeous 11.5” x 7.5” x 3” box. As you can see from the pictures, the box is in impressive condition and still sealed with the original shrink wrap, so I consider it factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains a complete injection molded plastic model kit with black, red and clear plastic parts, rubber tires, two extensive decal sheets and a sheet of metal stickers.
